<br />A Japanese postcard posted from Peking (Beijing), China to France in 1908. I love her Kimono and the elegant way that her Obi is tied.
Genroku style came into fashion amongst Tokyo Geisha around 1905, in imitation of the dress and hairstyles that were in vogue during the Genroku period (1688 – 1703).
I think that she may be Geisha Umekou (梅香) of the Shinbashi hanamachi (geisha district) in Tokyo.
